Brief Answer:
Possible ongoing fever, joint pain or tissue damage.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. ESR is midly increased possibly due to anemia and associated inflammation.
2. CRP level is high indicating ongoing inflammation
3. RBC count is midly reduced. RBC should be microcytic hypochromic, due to thalassemia minor.
4. TSH is almost near normal limits. Correlation with T3 and T4 levels essential for further opinion.
5. Fasting glucose is less than 110mg/dl and is good.
6. Mild anemia is seen with reduced hemoglobin levels.

There is an ongoing inflammation, possibly fever or joint pain inside the body, which is indicated by high CRP level.

As the RBC are small, thalassemia minor is possibly suspected.
Additionally anemia is present, which needs to be corrected with additional nutritional supplements. Vit B12 and iron supplements are essential for correction. After 15 days of start of treatment, reticulocyte count maybe done to evaluate the improvement secondary to treatment. If reticulocyte count is increased, bone marrow functioning is good.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.

Brief Answer:
Low SGOT is really good.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

CRP elevation could be due to ongoing inflammation, which has possibly not manifested yet. Probably a joint damage or viral infection. It is a marker for inflammation. Follow it up after 3 months. If increasing, ongoing inflammation. If reduced, not to worry. With age, it can increase mildly, but usually less than 10.
Another possible cause is anemia induced hypoxia, which can cause cell injury and inflammation. Repeat after 3 months.

SGOT values vary from 0 to 35 or 40. SGOT is released from damaged liver cells. Low SGOT means very low damage. Not to worry.

Continue the supplements. They are essential. Except for hemoglobin, you have very good health.

Stay healthy.
Hope it helps.

Brief Answer:
Correction of anemia - very important.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

ESR could be high because of anemia.

CRP cannot be explained without any specific findings.

vit B6 for low SGOT can be taken. Taking whole B-complex supplements along with Vit K would be more beneficial.

As no specific cause for CRP is identified, I can give you a general outline:
a. Regular sleep during night 8-9 hours.
b. Moderate exercises
c. Weight reduction
d. Nutritional diet, rich in proteins and less of saturated fats.
e. Relaxation and meditation and avoiding stress.

Tiredness is due to anemia. It should come to 12-14g%. Then ESR will also improve.

Due to low hemoglobin, minor activity, the cardiac system has to perform more work, hence you will be sweating more. Not to worry, once anemia gets corrected, it will reduce. Have a regular exercise schedule.

Hope it helps.

I am sorry i am disturbing you once more doctor, actually i had got a liposuction done 4 years back and post operation i got severe infection in my body as during the operation the instruments used was not steralised. So i went through a surgery of debridement of the infection. Post that surgery i was on antibiotics (clarithomycin and moxifloxacin for 2 years) then my esr and crp came down and doctor asked me to stop saying the infection is no more. It has been one year since i stopped my medication. After which again the ESR and CRP has increased. So do you think it is because if the same infection? Please suggest also i saw that my white blood cell count is almost towards high which is 9.6 thou/ul.
Thank you so much for listening .

Brief Answer:
Earlier infection, not related.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

9600 is not exactly high.

If there was any continued infection, then it would have become critical by now. Any deep infection without antibiotics would be dreadful.

The CRP in such case would have been more than 40. At present CRP is only mildly raised, possibly minor inflammation somewhere.
ESR is also mildly increased and repeat test of both after two months could be helpful.

As no complaints are present, not to worry. Any specific pain, any location - get evaluated immediately.

Hope it helps.

Brief Answer:
Iron and protein supplements additionally.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.

Vit B complex comes as a group of vitamins with required RDA. You can use any of them. For Vit K, 120 mcg/day is the standard requirement. You can take any multivitamin supplement.
Take it for a month regularly. It should help improve immunity and reduce CRP and also increase hemoglobin. Iron and protein supplements are essential.

No other medication necessary.

I would like to give you my email address, but rules of the forum prevents me from giving my email id. You can contact the customer care, and if they provide, I would be very happy to help you.

Hope it helps.
