What Are Side Effects Of Not Having Spleen?

My spleen was removed about two yeas ago and there are things that have happened. I have to take daily medication. My body is not taken or absorbing my medication there are other medication as well. What else is happening because I do not have my spleen

Spleen is a very important organ and plays a vital role in defense against microorganisms (bacteria) and regulation of lymph.

A person without spleen is very prone to get infected from bacteria especially encapsulated bacteria. therefore, usually all patients undergoing spleenectomy receive vaccination against "encapsulated bacteria" (hemophilus infuenzae and streptococcus).

if your not vaccinated, get a vaccine shot asap against these bacteria.
