Brief Answer:
Suggestive of liver injury.

Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome.
Thanks for posting your query on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
After having gone through the history and the uploaded results of the liver panel done on March 1, 2016 I am of the opinion that you seem to have some sort of liver injury which appear to be due to alcohol intake.
Beside alcohol, these enzymes can also be raised in hepatitis (inflammation of liver) caused by viruses (A, B, or C), diseases of the gall bladder, or certain medications. I would therefore advise you to undergo some more lab tests and abdominal ultrasound to rule out those conditions. A consultation with the physician is therefore recommended for further evaluation.
Had you been my patient, I would have advised the following:
1. Avoid taking alcohol, alcohol containing beverages/medications.
2. Avoid fatty vegan or non-vegan meals, increase the intake of fruits and vegetables, whole grain meals, etc.
3. Drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.
4. Take tablet Ursodeooxycholic acid twice daily for at least 3 months
5. To repeat the liver panel after 3 months.
Hope the suggestions given above would be useful in restoring the raised liver enzymes. However, if you have any follow up query, please ask.
Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Lipid profile.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Good morning.
Thanks for your reply.
Apart from the Liver panel and ultrasound scan you should also get your lipid profile (Total cholesterol, LDL Cholesterol, Triglycerides, and HDL), Kidney function tests (serum creatinine and blood urea), fasting and post prandial (after meals) blood glucose to be done. You can take Vitamin E containing supplements along with the suggested medications after consulting a physician.
Hope I could answer your query. Kindly rate the answers if you do not have any follow up query.
Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Cholesterol levels are high.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Hi
Thanks for your reply. Noted the uploaded results of the lipid profile.
The total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels are high.
At the moment you need to have certain life style modifications such avoidance of fatty vegan and non-vegan meals, fast and junk foods, alcohol or alcohol containing beverages (if you consume), etc. Eat home cooked food, increase the intake of fruits and vegetables and do regular exercise.
You can repeat the lipid profile after 2-3 months to check the response on lipid levels.
Continue taking the vitamin E supplement and Ursodeoxycholic acid as suggested earlier.
Hope the suggestions given above would be useful.

Brief Answer:
It is better to get the tests done for hepatitis as well.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Thanks for your reply.

Since liver injury can be due to infection of the liver caused by hepatitis viruses, so it is better to get tested for those viruses.

I shall be glad to receive the ultrasound report for further evaluation.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
There's no need to do the tests for hepatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Thanks for your reply.
Gone through the uploaded report of abdominal ultrasound which is quite normal.
Since the bilirubin levels and the ultrasound scan are within the normal so there is no need to do the tests for hepatitis viruses.
As far as the cholesterol is concerned it is slightly raised so at the moment there is no need to start medication to lower the high cholesterol, the life style modifications as suggested earlier are sufficient enough to control the high cholesterol level. You can repeat the liver function tests and lipid profile.
Hope the suggestions given above would be useful.
Best wishes.
