Questions and answers on "Clotrimazole"

About 4 weeks ago I developed a rash on my anus and the surrounding areas. I suspected the cause was moistening toilet paper with sink water and occasionally hand soap before wiping. Since that time I have used Hydrocortizone and Clotrimazole. I used the Hydrocortizone only a few days and used the Clotrimazole for an extended period twice a day. The broad area of the rash has cleared up so I continued use only directly on the anus yet it has not cleared up. My anus is very sensitive and I feel a constant mild burning. The skin is a darkened red color. I am wondering if this rash is lingering from the original cause or if the Clotrimazole itself is the cause of the irritation. Basically I would like to ask if I should continue using this drug or if I should discontinue and hope the rash subsides as a result. Is there another product I should be using instead? 'Someone suggested Flutibact. It may be helpful to know that I am not XXXXXXX and there has been no sexual contact of any kind near my anus.

hi,im a 21 yr old female and i was diagnosed with a severe yeast infection 2 weeks ago after being on amoxicillin for 10 days,i was directed by my gyno to take 1 pill of diflucan every 3 days for a week, this only got rid of the infection for a while and then it came back after my period passed, then i decided to use an OTC treatment of Clotrimazole for 3 nights, After using clotrimazole for 3 nights,is it normal for it to ooze out gradually?i cant really tell if the infection is gone because most of the cream is coming out during the day, when will it be out of my system entirely and i can become sexually active again?

hello I was wondering how coud I remove post hyper pigmentation on the base of my penis , I went to a clinic and was told it was a rash(equivalent to a womens yeast infection I guess) and was told to use A cream of clotrimazole cream 1% and it helped remove the rash but now I got light spots( had em for about 4 months now) and was hoping for something to reduce or remove them?

I m a 32year male, generally healthy. Literally over a night or two, I have developed a red, raised rash on the skin between my butt cheeks. I originally thought it was haemorrhoids and so tried zinc oxide and lidocaine cream, after bathing them in salt water, but felt it started to spread further onto the cheek and up towards my scrotum. I therefore thought it could be fungal nappy rash (due to sweating and hot weather) and so bought clotrimazole 2%, which I have ude for 2 days now, but to little improvement. Any thoughts please? Thank you!
