Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

Regarding your query for ear bleed, while you are suffering from flu, though you had got an hit few months back over your head. You are now worried for ear bleed as you are suspecting old head injury, flu or any other factor for this.

According to your symptoms it appears as your ear bleed may be because of-

1- Low platelet count (some times seen in cases of flu).

2- Toximia because of high fever.

3- Acute otitis media.

4- Ear bleed is with fever so we should exclude leukemias.

Above are the most common causes ear bleed and may be differentiated by clinical examination and blood investigations like- CBC, BT, CT, ser calcium, prothrombin time, MP, SGPT etc.

Regards.
