What Causes Bleeding After Taking Portia Birth Control Pills?

Ive been on Oxyelite pro for a couple months now and Im on Portia birth control pills. My pills ended saturday but i was bleeding off and on for 2 weeks before that. Now that my pills have ended instead of starting a period the bleeding has kind of slowed down and tapered off. Whats causing all this?

The possible causes of your irregular bleeding are:
- Portia pills are combined hormonal pills, they can cause side effects like irregular spotting during first few months of usage till the hormonal levels become normal.
- Altering the time of intake of pills or skipping the pills can also lead to irregular spotting.
- Compared with natural hormones, the pills will contain low levels of hormones this can lead to scanty withdrawal bleeding.
- Oxe elite pro tablets as part of altering the metabolism to reduce the weight can also affect the hormones related to menstrual cycle.

Now the possible options for you are:
- You can continue the tablets as per the schedule and menstrual flow may get regularize gradually.
- If the problem persists better to consult your gynecologist once, get examined, rule out other causes of irregular periods like anemia, thyroid disorder etc, then choose treatment accordingly.
