Weird Feeling Behind Right Leg, Right Arm, No Redness Or Swelling. Laproscopic Surgery Done. Causes?

I just had laparoscopic surgery one week ago today to check for endometriosis (I did not have it) and I am now experiencing a weird feeling in the back of my right leg (mainly my calf ) it isn t a pain or a cramp , just a weird feeling and also the same weird feeling in my right arm? No redness, swelling, pain or anything like that though.

Dear Concerned.,

Thanks for writing to us.,

For how long were you taking bed rest?

In all probabality you may be suffering from DVT(Deep Vein Thrombosis).

Pls consult your treating doctor for best treatment options as you have been operated leparoscopically.
Investigate to rule out whether there is DVT by doing Doppler Test.If confirmed pls consider., as per treating doctor's advice.,

1)Application of Heparin Cream locally on the affected areas

2)Aspirin being antiplatelet agent will prevent and dissolve the thrombus.

3)Intraveinous Heparin ;-It is contraindicated as you have been operated.

4)Physiotherapy and IFT etc.;-Most appropriate at this stage.
If not it could be Myalgia/Cramps due to electrolyte disturbance like Hyponatremia. On baseline blood (Electrolyte Estimations)and urine investigations /ECG, the doctor will be able to diagnose electrolyte disturbances.

The above are just options. Your Surgeon is the Best Judge. Pls consult him.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.,

Best regards,

Dr Lt Cdr ASN Bhushan.,

Ex-Navy.
