Having Anxiety, Confusion And Sleep Problems After Taking Prednisone. How Long Will It Take To Come Out Of The Side Effects?
How long does it take for prednisone to exit your system after being on low short-term dosages. I have been taking this medication for a couple of weeks and tomorrow is my last day. My initial dosage was 40mg per day (4 days) and then reducing it down to 20mg (3 days) then 10mg (3 days) and tomorrow my last pill; just 5mg. I have been having some side effects related to anxiety, confusion and sleep problems and I'm wondering if, or for how long, these will persist following my last dosage tomorrow. Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Anxiety, confusion and sleep problems my sometimes occur due to side effects of oral prednisolone. But these should lessen with tapering doses of Prednisolone and go away with the stoppage of medication. If problem persist even after practcing mind relaxation techniques and yoga etc., you need to consult your physician.
