Hi,

I think, if taken into account the only parameter of weight of prostate, then perhaps, the weight of prostate of 22gms. at an age of 38 is in normal range. Even if, it is borderline enlargement of prostate, there is no relation of your addiction to sex with the size of your prostate. Conversely, the enlarged size of prostate may have a decreasing effect on the sexual urge, sexual performance and even may cause erectile dysfunction. Also, your PSA value is in the normal range.

Hence, in all probability, your sexual addiction seems a psychological or/and mental health problem. Treatment for compulsive sexual behavior involves medical treatment & also psychotherapy. A primary goal of the treatment is to help you manage your urges and reduce excessive behaviors, while maintaining healthy sexual activities. If you are having a compulsive sexual behavior, then you may some times need treatment for other mental conditions also.

Psychological treatment, generally involves cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), This type of therapy can help you to identify the triggers for sexual impulses and ultimately teach you, how to alter behavior for healthy sexual activities. Many a times, the symptoms of sex- addiction may be very distressing to the society. These patients may have a sexual desire or behavior that involves other person's psychological distress, injury or death. These patients may have a desire for sexual behavior involving unwilling person or persons.

Treatment for this type of patients is more complex and it should be done under guidance of competent psychiatrist, counselor or behavior modification program technician. Association with religious, spiritual or social service groups as well as an healthy life style aided with yoga and avoidance of alcohol, smoking etc. may be more helpful in easy recovery of these patients to normal life styles, fitting in the acceptable behavior of community.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
