Is There Any Side Effect From Contiflo Icon .4mg ?

I have been advised to take Contiflo Icon .4mg before going to bed. I am taking this medicine for last 10 days. Have been advised to take for three months. I have enlarged prostate gland (28 mg). Please advise me what all precaution should I take to prevent side effect from this medicine.

Contiflo lcon 0.4mg contains tamsulosin that is used to treat Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It is an alpha adrenergic antagonist that helps to relieve the symptoms of Benign prostatic hyperplasia and make it easier to urinate. This medication is safe and effective for long term use.
Some lifestyle modifications like as soon as urinate you feel the urge, don't strain to evaluate bladder, avoid drinking alcohol and caffeinated beverages before going to sleep etc., may help to manage benign prostatic hyperplasia related symptoms and Contiflo lcon induced side effects. Side effects of this medication are dizziness, retrograde ejaculation, abnormalities in ejaculation, loss of libido, headache, body ache, cough, chest pain etc. If you suffer from such type of side effects during taking this medication, you should consult your doctor first for medical help.
