Question: Good morning:

I Don't know how to get back to my original question about my daughter so i copied and pasted all that was said to Dr Srilatha.

Could you get back to me please

Patient ProfileGender: FemaleAge: 29Visited a Doctor: YesMedications Tried: Doctor cant find out anything - think that she is just anxious as she cant find anything - bloods come back ok. Now has given her prozac and olazanpine for anxiety and sleeping tablets for insomnia.
My daughter has been having mid back pain for ab 11 months now - got MRI done which showed clear, she also has pain in her left side top of abdomen and like chest pains for months, she urinates very frequently, is feeling very unwell, she has had ultrasound of kidney, liver, spleen and pancreas which are all clear. She also has extremely dry eyes if that is an indication of anything. She is really not feeling well but no one is helping and it is now being put down to anxiety however these pains exist. She had a baby girl 11 months ago by emergency ceaserian if that could also be a cause of things however she has suffered with pains in her abdomen for many years. She is 29, not overweight. Thanks for any help you could give me.

4)Was the pregnancy continued according to her wish?

5)Does she have any stress regarding the delivery or baby?

6)Any urine analysis or any urine tests done?

7)What is her weight and height?

Hi Dr Srilatha
Sorry I only have access to a computer on Mondays and Fridays.
In answer to your questions:
1) No
2) Not that I know of
3) No
4) She was happy to have her baby however she had low b12, low iron, low blood pressure,
was on antibiotics about 3times for infections, she was very tired and was signed off work
(she is still extremely tired)
5) Labour was induced because her liver function test was slightly elevated and it was her due
date, she would have preferred a natural delivery but ended up with 30 hours labour before
emergency ceaserian, she had various drugs and also epidural before the section. She was
ok with it all as long as her baby was ok
6) Presume she had urine tests but not sure, she had stool test and various blood tests
7) She is 170cm and 58-59 kgs

Also she suffers from night sweats
Thanks for your help

Brief Answer:
Can you upload the reports done so far ?

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thank you for the update.
I am Dr. Abraham, OB - GYN, and will be glad to assist you with this concern.
I have gone through your responses to the earlier questions asked by the doctor.
Here is my input -
Can you please upload the urine tests / blood tests that have been done so far ?
Once I go through those, I can suggest further workup .
If you do not have access to the reports, I can suggest a comprehensive workup.
Looking forward to hearing from you, XXXXXXX
Also,
Is she breastfeeding ?
Does the baby keep her up at nights ?
Did she have any of these issues prior to pregnancy and delivery ?
You have mentioned that these issues started 11 months ago, so it coincides with the birth of the baby.
All her issues regarding low iron, low B12 , low blood pressure - were these sorted out after the birth ?
Please write back with more details.
Take care.
Mainly I would need to peruse the blood and urine tests.

Hi doctor,

Her abdomen problems go back to around 2006. She had back MRI but nothing was found. She breastfed for 3 weeks but had to stop due to cracked nipples. Low iron, b12, blood pressure got better after a few weeks of the birth. Her baby is very good and happy but of course wakes some nights but she usually sleeps from 7.30pm to 5am and sleeps after a bottle for about 2 hours.

Blood results:
Alt 11
Amylase 69
Chloride 106
Crp <1
T protein 78
Albumin 45
Globulin 33
Liver p
Ast 15
Alk phos 62
T bili 11
Renal p
Sodium 142
Potassium 4.4
Urea 2.9
Creatinine 62

And the report about her abdominal ultrasound:

The visualizes pancreas and aorta are normal
The gallbladder and common bile duct are normal in appearance. No gallstones or biliary dilation.
Both kidneys are normal in size, echogenicity and morphology. The spleen is also sonographically normal.
No ascites.
There is an 2cm focus of non-shadowing increased echogenicity in the inferior edge of the left love of the liver, most probably representing an haemangioma. The portal vein is patent.
Impression:
Probable haemangioma in the left lobe of liver. This could be confirmed with MRI. Otherwise normal study.

She also had coeliac test negative, stool test they say is fine, full blood count which they say is fine, I don't have particulars for those.

Mainly she has a pain that doesn't go away both in her back and her top left abdomen. She is due for a breath test and a stomach scan. Also she urinates very often, is exhausted, feels unwell most of the time and is also sweaty. Think I mentioned her eyes are extremely dry to the extent that she can't wear lenses anymore. She is very shortsighted.

Thanks for your help

Brief Answer:
Measures suggested.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the inputs.
1. A thyroid function test is in order. That can cause unexplained exhaustion, generalized feeling of being unwell. Please get that done.
2. For her unrelenting pain, yes, an MRI of the abdomen is in order. Has she consulted a Gastroenterologist for this pain ? If not , it needs to be done.
3. An ophthalmologist ( eye specialist ) can evaluate the eye issue. With short sightedness, dryness of the cornea is common, and lubricant solutions can be prescribed for her. Prolonged use of contact lenses can lead to kerato conjunctivitis sicca ( dry eye syndrome ) . It is easily treated.
Please read this link -

She has various issues, and thus multiple Specialities are involved.
If the entire workup turns out to be normal, it is best to consult a Psychologist also, to know whether there is a psychological component to her complaints.
A lifestyle incorporating daily exercise, yoga or other relaxational therapies plus a balanced diet will also help.
Take care.
