Posted on Mon, 28 Aug 2017
Question: Hi, I have four types of blood tests that showed abnormally high and I wondered if they were all related. I have been having more symptoms lately and looked back to my blood work from April, 2017. these are the blood tests that showed high: Immature grans absolute; MPV, TSH, Anti-Thyroid Peroxidase (all listed high). I have had fatigue, shortness of breath and profuse sweating confirmed by my OB/GYM doctor it is not due to menopause (as of Monday - July 31st). Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
Hypothyroidism suspected:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!

The blood tests that you reported to be abnormal are suggestive for hypothyroidism or under active thyroid.

A high TSH is suggestive for under active thyroid caused by high Anti-TPO, called Hashimoto thyroiditis.

The symptoms of under active thyroid are-- fatigue, feeling sleepy, weight gain, constipation, dry skin etc. However, if TSH is only slightly elevated, it may be asymptomatic.

It would be better to attach the results here so I can give you a more detailed answer depending on it.

It will be a pleasure to help you further.

Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta

I did write a follow up question but I TAKEN AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER. My numbers are as follows
Anti Thyroid Peroxidase = 63.8
Immature Grans Absolute - 0.09
TSH = 12.210 (been on .125mcg for 30+years to congrol hypotyroid)
MPV = 12.9

Overall health is fatigue, 168 lb. profuse sweating not due to OB/GYN - he has me on HRT treatment .5 then increased to .75 He witnessed protruse sweating and they are definitely stronger than hot flashes realted to menopaus. I have I have been on two types of choloestrol meds for over 20 years, failed A STRESS STRESS BUT PASSED A HEART XXXXXXX Are there othere smaller arteries or vessels that could be effecting my heart and shortness of breath? I am so scared to go to the doctor with "flu" symtoms and say I just don't feel good and just sweating profusely and then have to pay $250 for a wasted Emergency Room visit. I am scared I am letting someting get worse by not reporting it. Please help!!When will I get a response to my detailed bloodwork numbers and a possible route to ask my family doctor to take. These profuse sweats have me extrenely concerned. Heart issues run in our family and.i have been on cholesterol meds for 20+ years. Thanks so much!

Brief Answer:
Pathologies to be excluded;

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
The TSH level is high, that means that the dose 125 McFarlane is not enough, it should be increased but it is not the cause of profuse sweating.
You have tried to describe some information but of course a detailed clinical examination and the lab and radiological exams are necessary to find the cause of dispnea and profuse sweating.
There are some pathologies to be excluded; lymphoma, TB ect.
I would suggest to see a physician in person to exclude these pathologies and increase the dose of levothyroxine when the ischemic cardiac disease is ruled out.
Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,
As i mentioned before there are some pathologies that are manifested with profuse sweating; lymphoma, tuberculosis ect.
So they should be excluded by your physician.
You have also to monitor the temperature several times during the day before you see him.
