Brief Answer:
need more details

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
I would like to know few more details.
Since when are you having these symptoms?
Do you cramps in legs as well?
When do you notice these symptoms specifically after any activity or having food or medication?
Or do you get these symptoms all the time?
Have you ever checked vitamin D, calcium and b12?
When did you check your thyroid profile last time?
Do you have any history of kidney disease or any medical problem?
When did you start taking multivitamins?
If you have reports then please upload them.

Hand cramps and prickly feeling could be due to calcium or vitamin d or b12 deficiency, serum electrolyte imbalance like low potassium or due to dehydration or due to peripheral neuropathy or kidney related problems.

Kindly get back to me with details.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Repeat tests

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for your information.

I would suggest you repeat vitamin D and thyroid test.
Along with I also suggest you get vitamin B12, serum calcium and serum electrolytes like sodium, potassium and magnesium.

Let me know the results. If everything found normal then we would think about other possibilities. If test found abnormal then we would plan for management.

Your last report says you have insufficient vitamin D level and your.
Meantime I suggest you continue your medications.
Eat calcium rich food like dairy products.
Drink plenty of water and fluids.

If you have any queries I will be happy to help you.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Suggestions below

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for your information.

I have gone through your reports.

It seems every thing normal except MCV, MCH and absolute lymphocyte count.

Decreased MCV and MCH indicates anemia it could be iron deficiency anemia or due to any inflammation in body.
Absolute count is slightly increased according to given reference range, but the values varies from lab to lab. Slight elevation can be due to anemia or inflammation or physical or mental stress or medications like anti thyroid medications.

It is good all your blood tests reports are like thyroid, calcium, vitamin D and vitamin B12.
Yes, you need to take vitamin D 3 supplements for 4 weeks.

For thyroid, you need to continue medications even though it is within normal limits, because stoppage of medication can increase the value of TSH.
You should repeat the test after 2 months, if it decreases less than current value then you need to be changed your dosage of medications after consulting your treating doctor.
Increased esr can be due to inflammation, anemia or thyroid or during having muscle symptoms.

I suggest you visit your doctor or an Internal medicine specialist doctor to start vitamin D3 supplements and also start iron supplements (though your hemoglobin is normal, sometimes low serum iron level and serum ferritin can cause iron deficiency)

You can continue multivitamin with minerals medications. You need not to take both multivitamins, you can take one medication like Beplex forte. Neurobion forte which id used especially for vitamin B12 Deficiency, since beplex contains vitamin B12, I suggest you take beplex forte with minerals.

Though your calcium level is normal you need to take milk which is good for health and natural supplement.

For hair fall, if you have dandruff you need use anti dandruff shampoo like ketocanozole 2 %. Anyways your are taking treatment for trichologist.

If you have any queries I will be happy to help you.

Thank you.

Dear Doc,

I visited another doc too - her views differed from yours;

She has asked me to take methylcobol, eltroxin, primosa?

She just mentioned that my cramps will settle by themselves?

What to do?

Brief Answer:
Continue medications

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Beplex forte and neurobion both contain same amount of vitamin B12
Methylcobalmaine).
Since your b12 is within normal limit I suggested you continue one medication. Anyways it is wise to follow your doctor advice since she knows very well about your health condition and she is examined you clinically.

In earlier answer I told you to continue thyroid medications(Eltroxin).

You can take primosa which is helpful to relive pain.
Along with these medications I also suggest you Iron supplements since your MCV and MCH are decreased, once a day with vitamin C. You can ask about this to your doctor.
or you can get iron profile to rule out iron deficiency.

If you have any queries I will be happy to help you.
Thank you.
