Question: Hello I'm 22 years old My last periods was on 17 march then on April i missed and in May I got spotting for 2 days normally i get for 7 days periods but this time I didn't get properly and lately I experienced discharge is coming out from my breast, the size of my Breast has increased my tummy is soo bloated, nausea, dizziness, I feel fatigue, sometimes it's difficult to breath or speak continuously. I went to gynecologist and she did my urine test done it was negative later after sonography she said there is something inside small like a cyst but she wasn't confirmed I'm pregnant or not later she checked my Breast and said it's pure milk no infection is present and explained me 3 reasons for prolactin that is hyperthyroidism/pregnancy/some tumor in pituitary glands. I did all my tests and my prolactin is 69.79 ng/mL and tumor marker HCG STAT is <0.5 mIU/mL she came to a conclusion that I don't have any tumor my results for pregnancy is also negative and I don't have hyperthyroidism. She advised me to take btong, ppson dsr, zifi 200mg, cabgolim 0.5mg, ornidazole 200mg. I'm confused if I'm not suffering from anything then why the symptoms still persist?? I was never so weak before but now a days I'm only sleeping. I feel fatigue. My weight never used to increase bug now I've gained 3 kgs and I feel my tummy is growing and it's hard kind off, I've big dark circles even when I'm sleeping so much and this nausea feeling. Can I still be pregnant if test are negative? If I'm pregnant can this medication harm my baby? According to my gynecologist I don't have cysts or NO history of PCOS no infection in Liver or anywhere I'm a lot confused. Please help.

Brief Answer:
No pregnancy, hyperprolactinemia is present

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Delayed and irregular periods can be present due to pregnancy, stress or hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactinemia or polycystic ovarian syndrome.
If the pregnancy tests is negative, then the pregnancy is definitely negative.
High prolactin levels can lead to delayed periods and discharge of milk from the breast.
Moreover, all other tests are normal.
Hormonal disturbances are usually associated with weight gain and lethargy.
Pregnancy is definitely not present in your case.
You should take the treatment as advised, especially cabgolin which is given to lower the prolactin levels.
Hope you found the ansewr helpful.

Brief Answer:
thyroid hormones should be re tested

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
All these can be present in weight gain due to obesity, polycystic ovarian syndrome and hypothyroidism.
I will suggest you to repeat your thyroid hormone levels in fasting state from a different lab, as your symptoms are strongly suggestive of hypothyroidism.
You can get back to me with the report.
