Suggest Treatment For Rashes On Urethral Opening Caused By Fungal Infection

Question: Hello, about a month ago I had a rash on my Urethra opening and was really uncomfortable. it was gone in about 3 days. Since then I have had the Urethra area still red, but there is no itch or discharge, just the color red. about a month prior to that I had a visit with my physician becuase i had a few red rashes come out on my penis one morning and told me I had a fungal infection and prescribed me with ketaconazole cream. I also got tested for sexual infections and tested negative . do you have any idea what this can be?

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have noticed your urethral opening to be red .

In view of you not having any urinary symptoms like burning ,increased frequency ,urgency ,dysuria etc and negative STI tests the redness of urethral opening has no significance at all .
.
The colour of urethral opening is always red or pink in every individual .There is nothing to be worried about it.

Ensure to drink more water .

Hi, Doc!!! thanks for answering my question, you have no idea how great it feels having someone to talk to about this. I did have a bit more to add on, I received unprotected sex for about 2 minutes possibly 2 weeks before my sti testing. is it possible that my results aren't accurate because of the short amount of time
