Brief Answer:
Get done PFT ( pulmonary function test ).

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
By your history and description, in my opinion you are having mostly acute bronchitis.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system.
2. PFT ( pulmonary function test ).
PFT is needed to diagnose bronchitis.
It will also tell you about severity of the disease.
And treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators and antihistamine drug.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks
Thanks.

Okay thank you. I will. I cannot see a pulmonologist for at least another week though. I don't have asthma that i know of but incase of it i do have an inhaler, if i use the albuterol inhaler and it works, does that rule out blood clot in lungs or no?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Drkaushal85 (5 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
No, it will not rule out blood clots in lung.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your follow up question on HCM.
Albuteeol is having bronchodilator. And if you are improving with this then you are mostly having bronchitis. So better to get done PFT to diagnose yourself.
It will not relieve your symptoms if you have blood clots in the lungs.
You need CT pulmonary angiography to rule out clots in the lungs.
Hope I have solved your query.

Right so I mean..if i take 2 puffs of albuterol and it relieves the symptoms, does this mean i do not have a blood clot?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Drkaushal85 (3 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Yes, you are right.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your follow up question on HCM.
If albuterol relieve your symptoms then possibility of blood clots is very less.
Blood clots do not sub side by albuterol.
May I know why you are so much suspecting blood clots?
Your age is too young to XXXXXXX blood clots. So possibility of clots is vety very less.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.

Yes sometimes at night I feel heartburn but other than that not so much is it likely to be a pulmonary embolism if I am having shortness of breath and nausea at the same time no I don't have any burning right now
