Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pill?

Question: I had a medical abortion two weeks ago and there was no complication as proven by the doctor. I went on regular pills exactly one week after the abortion and had sex with condom after taking 3 pills (around day 11/12 in the cycle counted from the first day of abortion) However, the condom was broken and some sperm must have gone inside my vigina. I was so worried so I took the morning after pill in 20 minutes but owing to the fact that I might be ovulating so I took extra protection by inserting the copper IUD for emergency contraception in 16 hours after sex. The doctor said all these contraceptions won't clashed but I am so worried right now ): I don't wanna be pregnant again!!

Taking emergency pill in 20 min and inserting copper IUD in 16 hours after unprotected intercourse ,chances for pregnancy are very very low ,almost are 0.

The most effective way to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex is with an intrauterine device (IUD), a new study finds(0.9 percent of the women subsequently became pregnant).

You have had an abortion two weeks ago and ovulation occurs by three to six weeks after abortion.

thanks doctor. I had heavier bleeding (red blood) which is similar like a period but lighter after the checkup yesterday and it lasted till now. the reason why i am still on birth control pills is that the doc said i will have heavy bleeding if i stop taking it. The bleeding is not Abundant than my period. It smells like a period and it's lighter than a period. The bleeding increased after the checkup of IUD. (putting something inside my vagina for less than 1 min)

If you have done the check up for IUD doctor has excluded cervicitis or infection of cervix .
Increases bleed after check up may be from per vaginam visit.

Is known as a side effect of COPPER IUD until 3 to 6 months of insertion .

But if light bleeding turn to heavy and you have another symptoms you should contact with your doctor.

I took a pregnancy test (clearblue) 3/4 days before the period is due and it came out negative. i took a test 10 days ago and there was still a faint positive line but that line didnt show up at all today.
