Is Intermittent Vaginal Bleeding Every Few Days A Sure Sign Of Pregnancy?

default
Posted on Thu, 23 Nov 2017
Question: I had well I thought I had two periods last month. Came earlier then my expected period. Very very light. Which is not normal for me. It lasted around 4 days. I stopped bleeding for a day and half then started bleeding again for another 5 days. I have been having a lot of unprotected sex. My nipples hurt. Badly!! I have headaches and I’m hungry more then usual. Like I can’t get full. I took a cheap test which contained 2 test. One didn’t even work and the other one took about ten minutes to say negative. Do you think I’m pregnant. I normally have my period around this time of the month.

Brief Answer:
There is a possibility of pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern,

Since you have been having unprotected intercourse and previously had regular cycles there is a definite possibility of pregnancy. A pregnancy test will show most accurate results when taken at least 6 days after the date of missed periods. And the first-morning urine sample should be used. Use the pregnancy kit exactly as described in the product pamphlet.

I recommend that you repeat the pregnancy test after few days. If the pregnancy test is still negative and you are not getting your periods, please be advised to follow up with your gynecologist.
