Brief Answer:
Yes. Its in the low normal range.

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thanks for writing to HCM. Noted your concern.

Well your blood glucose value is in the normal range - but in the low normal range. In patients who are not diabetic values of about 50 and less is considered to be hypoglycemia. In patients who are diabetic the values are variable but generally the cut off of 60 is accepted.

Are you a diabetic on medications? Are you on any other medications - allopathic or otherwise or on any special diet or replacement? Do you have an associated liver / kidney disease?

In certain patients who are at high risk for diabetes what happens is after food the sugars become heavily suppressed. It shows they are at risk for diabetes.

In your case, like I mentioned your value is in the low normal range and the advise would depend on the clinical context.

Warm regards.

Brief Answer:
I understand

Detailed Answer:
Well, its good that you are taking care. Its absolutely right to get into an intense exercise regimen. However, missing meals is not a great idea in your setting. You need to eat small frequent meals which is the best way to go about it. That would ensure your glucose levels remain stable. I can't recollect any anti anxiety medications causing low glucose levels. Please do an annual GTT (glucose tolerance test) and a Hba1c to make sure you are on the right track. I feel you need not worry with the glucose levels you are exhibiting. It should settle down with minor diet adjustments as I mentioned earlier.
Take care.
Warm regards.
