I am 33 weeks pregnant. I had controlled sugar till 30th week and suddenly then i started getting vaginal infection. After that i was sent to GTT which showed impaired glucose tolerance. I am not sure how should i control my sugar ( fasting 98, PPBS 175). Please advise.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear madam relax
there is nothing to panic.
vaginal infections in pregnancy are quite common and most of the times don't need any treatment.
Regarding your blood sugar levels they are only mildly elevated and there is no need to worry.
i suggest you to control your diet and go for regular walking.
Regular walking and yoga will help you not only to control diabetes but also increases your chances of normal delivery.
Take advice for diet expert for Gestational diabetes ,prepare your own customized diet plan.
monitor your sugars once every two days before lunch and 2 hrs after lunch and prepare chart.
relax everything will be fine.
