You would likely have signs of infection such as a foul smelling discharge, pelvic pain, possibly fever. Usually women are advised not to have intercourse for 14 days after abortion. But you will need to start getting on a regular reliable form of birth control such as Depo, the Pill, or IUD soon so that you don't have to worry about unwanted pregnancies.

I had intercouse 9 days after an abortion and took emegency pill. Could the current bleeding mean i have infection. The bleeding is like period but has some clots

Brief Answer:
The irregular bleeding is probably from hormonal irregularities.

Detailed Answer:
The emergency pill is a dose of hormones (progesterone) that your body wouldn't normally have. You are probably having a withdrawal bleed. I am figuring that you took the emergency contraception approximately 1 week ago. I doubt that you ovulated this month's cycle, and when you don't ovulate, periods can come at irregular times, be longer, shorter, heavier, or lighter. The clockwork of your cycle is off and may be off for a couple months although it may get back to normal next month.

Without symptoms of infection, I don't think this is typical of infection.

Brief Answer:
Vaginal soreness or sensitivity is understandable.

Detailed Answer:
Vaginal soreness is understandable. If there were a uterine infection (endometritis), you would have uterine pain or cramps, and feel unwell and probably have a fever.
