Is Human Papillomas Virus And Vaginal Discharge (no Odor/itching) Related?

i was just diagnosed with human papillomas virus tonight. Is vaginal discharge part of the reason why? I am a female & am at risk of cervical cancer my doctor says. I do not have the genital wart kind of HPV, but am wondering whats up with the discharge. i do not have any other diseases or odor or itching, Thank God. Any thoughts on my discharge, my gyno said she doesnt smell or see any ;/

Hi and thanks for asking in HCM forum. Human papilloma virus (HPV) causes common warts, the small, white, beige or brown skin growths that can appear almost anywhere on the body and on the moist mucous membranes near the mouth, anus and genitals. When symptoms are present, they may include, Burning after intercourse, Chronic vaginal discharge, Warts on the vaginal opening or anus. Remember that not all types of HPV infection leads to cancer. With Proper Detection And Treatment, HPV rarely Progresses to Cervical Cancer. There are some procedures/treatment for people who are already infected with HPV and these are colposcopy, LEEP, laser surgery, cryosurgery. Type of treatment will be decided by your treating doctor and i suggest you to follow your doctors advice. All the best. regards.
