Will Medicine Overdose Cause Lymphoma?

Hi i recently took an overdose and was admitted to hospital. I now regret my actions but i now fear i have lymphoma. I had a biopsy done on my leg because i have had very bad itching and bite like marks also bruising. While i was in hospital i heard them say lymphoma out side my room . And think they had the results on there computer but they didnt let me no because i have a appointment to get these results in 2 month time. I was wondering if hospitals are allowed to withhold this sort of infomation if your in there for a completely diffrent reason?

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

I understand that you are going through a difficult time and are worried about the possibility of having a lymphoma. Regarding your question, medication overdose doest not cause Lymphoma.

Moreover, you needn't get worried or make any premature assumptions just because you heard the doctors say the word "Lymphoma" outside your room. In case there was any problem or finding related to your case, the doctors will definitely let you know about it. They will not withold any important information from the patient. If you are still worried or not sure about what is going on, then I would suggest that you talk to your doctor directly about this.

Wish you all the best.

Regards,
