What Do These Liver Function Test Findings Indicate?

I ve been having a lot of liver problems and I just turned 26 years old. I can t get through to my doctor to ask her you know, EXACTLY what my lab results mean and it s scaring the hell out of me. If you would be so kind as to just let me know what the heck these number and letters mean really I would be so grateful. I have been sick since November 2014. Literally. I was just in the ER 3 weeks ago for an inflamed esophagus which caused me to lose my job. So I would honestly really appreciate to know what the hell these numbers mean, because I KNOW they re not good. Hi,

All the readings of your hepatic panel and thyroid panel are in normal range except SGOT and SGPT. Both these readings point to some disorder of your liver. Here are a few things to do for making your liver healthy and to prevent further damage to your liver. Avoid alcohol intake. Avoid smoking.

Do not take any unnecessary medicine, particularly without prescription including any food or health supplement. Eat healthy food. Avoid heavy fatty meals and more spicy food. Take green vegetables and fresh fruits in adequate amount. Doing daily moderate exercise and having proper sleep.

Taking sufficient amount of liquids to maintain proper hydration. Above all, the consultation with your doctor is of utmost importance, for a proper diagnosis of any other relevant cause of your illness and the treatment, if required, accordingly. Also the follow up evaluation of your hepatic profile is also advised with subsequent repeated testing under guidance of your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

Have you undergone dialysis? What are your serum sodium and creatinine levels? According to your history and tests, are you tested for hep A, C, and B also? They are at least a must for you. ECG should be done.

After this if diagnosis is still not made then imaging techniques are needed. Your liver is getting damaged. Do yoga and say no to alcohol, smoking etc. Take zinc combination of multivitamins, and vaccination for hepatitis A, influenza, and pneumonia.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
