I have been complaining about a change in my saliva and gritty sensation in my mouth. An ENT ruled out sjorgen s disease but found that I have an elevated CRP for which he prescribed steriods. Now, my neck is swollen on the left side and I generally feel unwell, Any suggestions? The ENT also thinks I have burning mouth syndrome.

Hello,

Swollen on one side may be due to lymphadenopathy or salivary gland infection or mums. So any infection cause elevation of CRP. So better to control with infection with antibiotics and anti-virals if possible. Please get it done ultrasound of the neck and throat. Use tablet Amoxicillin and Clavulinic acid 625 mg for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
