Hallow Dear,

WHO has recommended Mifepristone + Misoprostol combination for easy, safe and effective termination of pregnancy up to 9 weeks (63 days) of gestation.

Tab. Mifepristone is to be followed after 24-48 hours by Tab. Misoprostol . Usually the abortion takes place within 3 days. The dose of Misoprostol is half for termination up to 7 weeks (42 days) pregnancy.

Alternatively Misoprostol only regime also can be adopted wherein the Misoprostol tablets are to be repeated every 3-12 hours up to 3 doses.

However, these are prescription medicines and should be taken under expert supervision in prescribed doses; lest the complications like incomplete abortion (very rare), heavy bleeding, infection, etc. may go unnoticed causing serious problems. The completeness of the abortion may be confirmed by ultrasonography. It is advisable to make a follow up visit to the Obstetrician 7 days after the last dose of Misoprostol.

These medicines cause developmental abnormalities in the baby. Hence, in case of failure of the medicines to terminate the pregnancy, decision should not be reverted to continuation of pregnancy; pregnancy then should be terminated by surgical technique like MVA aspiration or so.

Hope this helps you.

Hello dear
Understand your concern
There is no ayurvedic medicine that successfully abort the pregnancy.
First confirm the gestational age of your pregnancy. Always use medical abortion pills after the advice of gynecologist regarding dosage, route and time of administration. A home use is illegal and cause complication like excessive bleeding, incomplete abortion and abnormal development of baby in failure. That can not be managed by self. better to use gynecologist prescribed abortion kit. According to your history its look like your pregnancy is between 9th to 12th week. You can use following method for abortion
1.Combination of mifepristone plus misoprostol:
D1:Tab. Mifepristone 600 mg orally
D3: After 24-48 hours Followed by Tab. Misoprostol 800 mcg (4 tablet of 200 mcg) either vaginally/orally every 3-6 hours up to 5 doses under the supervision of gynecologist.
D14: Follow up USG to confirm the completeness of abortion process (Checking for incomplete abortion)

2.Surgical abortion: suction evacuation.
Advice after using pill:
Proper rest, healthy diet, tablet meftal spas, maintains pelvic hygiene and check for foul smells vaginal discharge to prevent infection
Use safer sex practice (I pill, condoms) and choose your contraception method to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
