General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.

Which antibiotic cover did you take? It takes some time to completely recover IF you take general measures as well. I would suggest you following things:

> Take Diphenhydramine + Dextromethorphan for cough.
> Take hot water in a cup, add 1 table spoon salt in it. Perform gargles (mouth wash) with it three times a day for at least 3 days. It will give soothing effect.
> Take boiling water in a pot, put your head over the steam and cover whole with a sheet. Take deep breaths in it.(Avoid getting closer else it might cause burn). Do this twice a day.

AVOID:
> Chilled water
> Drinks
> Spicy food

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health.

General & Family Physician Dr. Michelle Gibson James's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Since the symptoms are still present it means that the bacteria causing the infection did respond to the antibiotics used.

You need to consider visiting your doctor for reassessment because another course of antibiotics may be needed.
In addition you can use over the counter medications such a chloroseptic gargle/spray, covonia or diflam to help with your discomfort.

I hope this helps
