Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) Light bleeding during or after intercourse may be due to hymen rupture, rough sex, blunt trauma, vaginal infection or dryness (lack of lubrication), hormonal imbalance, endometriosis, cervical or uterine polyp etc. Most of time, this type of bleeding stops automatically within 3-5 days.

2) Use proper lubrication during sex and maintain genital hygiene. Medicine like Tranexamic acid can be taken to arrest bleeding temporarily.

3) Lastly, I suggest you to consult with gynecologist if bleeding continues. You may need to undergo one ultrasound scan to detect uterine or cervical pathology (if any). Maintain genital hygiene. Good luck.

Hello dear
Understand your concern
Bleeding after sex is most common problem in girls after intercourse.

Following are the causes bleeding after intercourse.
Other cause are
Trauma to vaginal wall (If penetration without lubrication), Infections in the vagina (bacterial vaginosis) /vaginitis, Atrophic vaginitis , Bleeding from cervix in cervical precancerous lesion of dysplasia.
Take following advice
It will goes its own with in 4-5 days, Use lubricants while sex.

Do sex in relaxation.
You should let go penis inside very slowly with lots of lubrication, once you feel pain, wait for sometime and then proceeds.
Your partner should be gentle, and get you in the mood in order to increase natural lubrication.
Do not keep the intercourse for a long time, since that will not only rub off the lubricants, it will also cause friction to the surrounding tissue.
Maintain hygiene in pelvic area, Wash pelvic area with warm salted water to reduce infection and inflammation after sexual intercourse.

If bleeding will not stop and again occur in future after intercourse, You need to consult the gynecologist and need to be investigated to diagnose above causes. Following investigation should be done:hormonal profile like: estrogen, progesterone, FSH, LH, PAP smear
Hope this may help you.

Wish you good health.
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
