Hi there,
I have asked several questions relating to my female health, menopause and starting to take Cerazette BC to help regulate heavier periods.
I am new to Cerazette and in May my period arrived at 23 days, not usual for me, it was not too heavy or painful but dragged on and was early. Constant pink or red spotting.
I then started another period on day 19 of my cycle, 8 days after my previous one, I do not belief I ovulated, but my cm, although clear was heavier then normal for me also and I had headaches and spots on face.
This current period, started of light and pain free until Saturday past where it became heavier and then calmed again by night-time and Sunday similar. Day 5 I started to develop cramps, increase in blood flow, where I leaked after 1.5 hours and the passed tissue from womb, this really upset me as again this is not normal, I was also at work which made it worse. By day 5, my period is calmer and usually lighter and brown, any tissue passed is small and never bothers me. I should mention, I forgot to take 2 cerazettes on Sat/Sun. I have now resumed day 5, and this with Tranxaemic Acid has practically stopped my flow for over 4 hours now. I have never experienced this before, very early periods and heavy bleeding with tissue on day 5, it is usually heavy day 1/3, but this time it is the opposite.
I have to say I am at a loss and feel it must be due to the pill. I have been on this for less than a month and I do forget to take some tablets, both the previous period and this current one.
It has put me in an emotional shock and my confidence, as I was assured this would help and I would not have heavy periods, has been dented, I get very scared.
Do you think I have brought on another period/ or are they off balance due to Cerazette and missed tablets. I am aware of negative reports re Cerazette.

Thank you,
XXXXX

My mother is 57 years old.
History - Angioplasty 2 years ago with two stents.
She is on blood thinners are the regular medication for her heart condition.
Ever since she started aspirin ( thinners) she has observer vaginal bleeding.
We got her operated at Jaslok hospital in XXXXXXX They did a D & C since according to the doctor the uterus is too delicate to remove.
After the D &C the doctors said that there was a Polyp which was removed. The Polyp was sent for biopsy and it did not show up anything to be worried about.
The uterus lining was now 11 mm and we showed it to the doctors in Nasik.

They say that Obesity and Blood thinners are causing the vaginal bleeding.
We are worried since my mother had her menopause approximately 12 years ago.

Questions:
1. Do blood thinners and Obesity cause this problem ?
2. We have shown her to multiple doctors and all of them say that there is nothing to worry.
3. She has been bleeding for 4th day today and the flow is like menstruation with clots.
4. What should we now do?

Hi. My left ovary is 47cc and my right is 4.1cc. I missed my period 13 XXXXXXX Last period 15 Dec which was normal flow until I got brown blood after 5 days red blood. The brown blood lasted 2 weeks. I've never had this before. My Pap smear was normal in Sept 2014. My blood work great. Had a virginal ultra sound 19 XXXXXXX and it showed I'm mid cycle but I was actually 6 days late. I'm 45. My estrogen still high at 607. Not menopause as that's 0-120. I've had PMS with stomach cramps all of january. I'm looking very tired. My GP has set up a specialist but can't get in until end of March. I am stressed and a little under weight. I've been trying to find work. I don't have financial pressure but I'm not used to rejection. On 4 Feb I went to the emergency with stomach pain. Before this started on 7 Dec 2014 I had a car accident and then my period came on time 15 Dec as above but abnormal for me. Now I don't know if this is related. I have seen a gyni at outpatients and she put me on promulot for 10 days but I stopped after 7 because the drug was making me sick with bad headaches, strange feelings in my legs and stomach. Twice before I have lost large clots on this drug and hemorrhaged. The gyni on Friday told me to stop it. This doctor did cancer marker tests, pregnancy tests, other blood tests and they all came back clear. So the cyst from the 2 virginal scans indicate a 4cm simple cyst. Still uncertain if in the tube or outside the tube. Been told not the reason for missing my period. My last virginal ultra sound showed the lining was ready to shed. Of course I've taken now 7 days of promulot but still no bleeding just pain. Yesterday after broken sleep from pain I went to the Royal Woman's hospital in Melbourne. There they checked my cervix and found nothing. They took some swabs but previous tests were negative for stds in Sept 2014. There was no discharge found. What else can be wrong ? Why hasn't the promulot worked so far? What else can I do? My hormone analysis shows I'm not premenopausal. Can it be just stress? I'm so tired from this issue. Constant pain and no resolution.

doctor1 MD

Brief Answer:
Stress is the reason

Detailed Answer:

I was put on a course of various tablets including tranexamic acid to stop bleeding in the throat, Since I ve stopped taking the tranexamic acid my left lower leg has been painful and swollen, it started easing off for a while and was just mild shooting pains but the past few days the pain has been constant and really sore, it s been quite swollen for 2-3 days but has started to go down now.. It s sore to move and touch, extreme pain when walking and is still sore to even rest, the right leg is completely fine, not actually sure if it has anything to do with the tablets or such, did suspect it was maybe a pulled muscle or something of the kind but can only pin point it too when I stopped the course of tablets, any ideas or suggestions? Thank you
