Heat Boil Which Is Very Painful, Lactating Mother. Any Safe Medicine To Have ?

Hello Dr.

I'm having a heat boil which is unbearable when it comes to pain. I'm a mother who is lactating my 1 year old daughter. Which is a safe medicine to have? Any ointment that can be applied? I had to take a IMOL plus (1 tablet at night time, so that I could sleep. I have done this for 2 days, as I had developed fever as well. The heat boil in on my buttock. Please help.

Welcome to HCM,
For boil on buttock may require an oral antibiotic medicine otherwise if abscess is formed might give trouble to you.
There are few antibiotics like amoxicillin can be taken during lactation period.
Consult your doctor and take his advice.
Apply antibiotic cream locally.
