Have Fever And Sore Throat. What Is Wrong?

Thursday I came home from work with a migraine and ever since have not felt well, I have had a fever and severe sore throat. I have been able to go to work this week, and I feel fine. However, once I get home my throat begins to hurt extremely bad again. My throat had white pus pockets on it over the weekend, but there is not any now. What could possibly be wrong?

Hello

Thanks for writing to H.C.M. for your query.

I had understand about your query regarding your headache and fever associated with sore throat which had worsen now and developed pus points in throat and is very painful.

As per your symptoms it appears as most likely you are suffering from acute follicular tonsillitis, the pus point you have noticed are the inflammed and suppurated lymphoid follicles of tonsils. this condition is always associated with high grade fever.

To manage it you should take-

(1) Antibiotic.

(2) Anti inflammatory & analgesic.

(3) Antiseptic mouth wash and gargling.

I hope this will help you.

Regards.
