General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Persistent pain in abdomen in spite of well treated strep throat and settled fever needs proper evaluation of the cause.

Hence, I would advise her following:
-Consult a Pediatric Surgeon for clinical evaluation and examination.
-Ultrasound of abdomen and CT scan of abdomen.
-Tests of blood, stool and urine.

All these will lead to a proper diagnosis and gives plan of management.

If there appendicitis or so, then she needs a proper course of an additional antibiotic, Metronidazole and probiotics. If there is appendicitis or so, then surgery may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
