Have Tonsillitis, Red Growth Coming Out Of Tonsils With Puss. Lymph Node Swollen. What Is The Growth?
I have tonsillitis and am on meds but I looked now and there s a red growth coming out of the tonsil that hurts. It s dark red and so is some of my tonsil, plus white pus . What is the growth? It almost looks like my uvula but sideways. My lymph nodes on the right side on my back of my neck are swollen and the worst tonsil is the left.
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
You are most likely suffering from acute bacterial tonsillitis.
Presence of enlarged lymph nodes with enlarged tonsil & pus suggests the diagnosis.
There may be possibility of involvement of both side of tonsils.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist and should go for thorough check up.
You should take complete antibiotic course, decongestants, and throat soothing medicines.
You should also avoid oily food, cold drinks, sour and curd.
You should also perform gargles with luke warm water along with pinch of salt.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
