Hi Rhian and thank you so much for this query. I feel very happy that you are taking proactive measures to avoid any pregnancies when you do not want, Congrats and keep up. I am sorry to hear about the recent discharges that you have been having and all the inconveniences this has caused you.

Vaginal discharge is normal if it is of small volumes, whitish, non offensive and without any accompanying symptoms. This seems to be the case with you and i do understand the heightened fear because of this coil. From these symptoms, I will suggest that you monitor them over the next weeks and see what the changes are. If the secretions should increase in volumes, become offensive or you having pains, then visiting your doctor will be a wise thing to do. For now, stay calm.

Please, i wish to remind you that contraception prevents against unwanted or unplanned pregnancies but doesn't protect against STDs. always consider using a protection during sex to avoid contracting any STDs.

I hope this answers your query and provide ample information for you to make informed decisions. Feel free to return to us with more questions if need be.
I wish you good health.
