Diabetic, Having Severe Hair Loss Problem. Treatment?
Hi Doctor,
I am neethu, first of all i am really thankful to you all that your helping us through this forum. I have a query related to my mom, my mom is 46 yrs old and she is diabetic since past 3 years. Her fasting sugar range is 193. From past one year or 8 months i guess my mom has been losing lot of hair daily. All time of the day whenever mom combs her hair, whenever keeps oil and when she does hair bath lot of hair loss.Long some 4yrs back my mom got operated and her pregnancy bag and ovaries have been removed. I am very much worried about this doctor please advice me.

There can be multiple reasons for the hair thinning or hair loss being suffered by your mother.The causes include....
Low estrogen and progesterone hormones
Uncontrolled diabetes
Stress
Improper nutrition
Anemia
Genetic predisposition etc
She must consult a doctor for the proper prescription of anti diabetic drugs and hormone replacement therapy along with nutritional supplement like B complex vitamins,iron,calcium,VIT D etc.
A proper approach can settle her hair loss problem.
