Delayed Periods, Stomach Cramps, Back Pain, Diarrhea, Negative Pregnancy Test. Still Be Pregnant?

I have a question. My wife and I have been trying to get pregnant for almost two years. she has missed her period before with no symptoms of being pregnant. She is 8 days late having some very mild cramping in her stomach , slight back pain and diarrhea . She has taken 3 home pregnancy tests and they all came up negative. Could she still be pregnant?

Hi, it is unlikely that she is pregnant. However to rule out 100% , she needs to get a blood test done i.e. serum beta HCG. Considering that you trying for pregnancy since 2 yrs , i would suggest both of you to meet your gynecologist and get evaluated.

General & Family Physician Dr. Ramesh M.Vachharajani's  Response
Hi, Swan,
Thanks for query.
If you had pregnancy test done after 8 days passed of her period and test is negative, there is less chance of having pregnancy.
You may go for blood Hcg test for confirmation.
Her problem might be due to some gastro intestinal infection.
Ok and bye.
