Delayed Periods. Pregnancy Test Negative. Pink Discharge. Chances Of Pregnancy?
I am currently 6 days late on my period. Took a home preg test yesterday and it was negative now I have a light pink type fluid but only when I wipe. Thought it might have been my period, however, my period is typically quite heavy and immediatly accompanied by severe lower back pain . I made an appointment with a doctor for Monday. Am I crazy or is it possible that I could be pregnant?
Hello Thanks for your query. With a negative pregnancy test, it is least likely that you are pregnant. This could be a late and scant period. this often happens when women are under stress, taking birth control or hormonal medications, thyroid hormone disturbances are present, or with conditions like polycystic ovaries, endometrial hyperplasia etc. You already have an appointment on Monday, so please have an evaluation for these conditions. Rarely, conditions like a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy fail to show up on urine strip tests , hence a blood test and pelvic ultrasound would be in order. All the best.
