Child Has Been Warm, Throat Hurts, Tongue Has White Spots Under It, Spot On The Gum Hurting. Consult Doctor?

I am buying a new thermometer because ours broke last week and we haven't gotten a new one. My 5 year old has been warm to the touch for a few days, she says his throat hurts, and his neck under his chin hurts, he says his tongue hurts, when I looked in his mouth, his tongue has white spots under it on the right side. this morning he said that a spot on his gums hurts too, I looked and it has a small sore there too. Any ideas? Should I take him in?

Hi Dear
welcome to the platform of Health care magic.

Child is having fever for some days along with this he is also having throat pain means some infective origin of throat pain.

It appear that your child has developed some infection in the throat like pharyingitis/Tonsillitis.

Needs to be evaluted with local examination by your physician/ENT specialist.

He may advice for some Routine blood investigations and throat swab culture.
And accordingly he should be treated with complete course of relevant antibiotics and antipyretics.
