Can The Medicine, Microgynon, Cause Excessive Night Sweat?

Hi I'm taking Microgynon 30 for about 11 years with one year break. Recently i noticed that before my period i sweat a lot and as well have the night sweats which is quite uncomfortable. I'm 32, non smoker, quite healthy and not over weight. I never had this before so i never though it could be related to the pills? Should i come of the pill . Nina

Hello,

Since you already have been on Microgynon for 11 years, it is unlikely that the pills are causing night sweats. However, other issues like Hyperthyroidism should be looked into. Please be advised to follow up with your primary provider for the necessary evaluation.
