From time to time I have a feeling of being off balance with a weird feeling in my head. Had an MRi with contrast and I have found out that I have a tumor at the base of my brain. Was told that I was most likely born with this. I have had several MRI and nothing changes. I do have sinus problems. I am 65 years old. I also have severe night sweats . This is not a feeling of dizziness as I had in the past and had the Epstein Barr procedure done. What could be the cause of this?

doctor1 MD

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

Brain tumor could be related to your imbalance. However, it would be immensely useful if you could upload the MRI report, to understand the size and location of the tumor.

Vitamin B12 deficiency should also be excluded as a cause of your symptoms.

No change...

HI. I have Crohn s disease. I receive Remicade treatments every 8 weeks. I have had treatments for 2 years now and it seems to help with the symptoms. For the last 2 weeks I have been having severe night sweats , bloating , my stool is either liquid or ribbon thin with bright red blood. I also have woken up each day with more and more bruising on my legs. Any suggestions on what might cause these symptoms. My current medications are Zoloft (been on for 6 months), and Remicade treatments. I recently weaned off of medrol which I was on for almost 2 years (dose went up and down depending on my Crohn s symptoms).

doctor1 MD

Hello, jrnowack,
I understand that you have been taking Remicade treatments every 8 weeks.
Your current symptoms sound like you have a flare up of Crohn's. The reasons
may be that you have lost the effectiveness of the drug or you may need to take
the drug more frequently. Increasing the dose may...

Hello
I am a breast cancer survivor, right side 7 years ago. Have noticed a hard lump on my collarbone, feels like hard bone and is the size of a large marble. I have some night sweats but have had these for years. Also slight tingling around my mouth. I also have a slight thyroid imbalance that is currently untreated, and suspected sjogrens.

What are the causes of a lump on the collarbone.
Had a mammogram about three months ago, and nothing showed.

doctor1 MD

Hello
Welcome to healthcaremagic.
Swelling in collarbone can be due to various reasons. It can be a bony swelling or enlarged lymph node. If it is bony swelling it is usually due to some benign bone disease and you need not worry much for that. However since you are breast cancer survivor -...

Use to have a great memory but don t anymore. Neck and shoulder pain constantly. Feels like bricks sitting on me all the time. No appetite. I am 53 year old female and have always been very active.

I am 51 and have been taking HRT for at least 10 years as I was diagnosed as going through an early menopause. I decided that I had been on it long enough and after discussion with my doctor came off it about 6 months ago. Since then I have had tremendous problems sleeping and sweats during the day and about every hour or 2 at night. The night sweats involve a flash, followed by a flush with sweat, a need for a big wee and then a terrible thirst. If I fall asleep downstairs during the evening then I awake with a start very soon after I have fallen asleep with the flash, then the flush but not a need to wee although I have a very large thirst. Is this normal? I have been taking Flaxseed capules 1000mg & Soya Isoflavones since coming off the HRT on the advise of my doctor
