Can Taking Cipro For Prostate Infection Lead To Constipation?

I was just diagnosed with a prostate infection and started taking cipro 2 1/2 days ago. I do not have pain urinating but am having huge trouble with bowel movements. It feels like it is totally blocked,my stools are either thin or small and hard (like a rabbit), and I have a big build up of gas which are all rare for me.

no, cipro does not cause constipation. It is just an antibiotic which would kill the normal and abnormal bacteria in your large intestine. This may actually result in Loose Motions but not constipation
