Question: Hi few months back I was detected an ectopic pregnancy on right fallopian tube it was detected in the last stage and it has to removed by laparascopic surgery.

Just now to plan a baby I have gone for ultrasound with pelvic ultrasound as per the instruction by my gynae. I have no symptoms of bilateral polycustic ovarian disease but the results in the ultrasound today is bulky right ovary with mild follicles and mild increased stromal ecogenecity. I am 28 years old married for 4 years trying to plan a baby and never have any irregular periods so far and this problem was not there last month when I undergone a ultrasound neither at the time of ectopic surgery please advice I am very upset.

Brief Answer:
PCOS will be associated with hormonal irregularities

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear
welcome to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.
in my opinion the scan finding is purely incudental finding only.

in case of Pcos there will be menstrual irregularities and hormonal imbalances like altered LH &FSH ratio,
raised levels of testosterone.

As per your history you are not having any complaints of menstrula irregularities.

for the diagnosis of PCOS we will follow a criteria called as
Rotterdam criteria for diagnosing PCOS

Basing on this criteria only cyst in ovary is not taken as ploy cystic ovarian syndrom.

Hope I am able to answer your query.

feel free to discuss further.
