Hi, I am an 27 year old female and I am married for last 2 years. since then I am trying to conceive cause I was detected with an increased thyroid level and also polycystic ovary syndrome. I increased my levothyroxine dosage from 25 to 100mug. now my thyroid is very much in control. And the doctor has now given me ovelet 100mg to take from the 2nd day of the cycle. I always had my periods normal and on time. and i do have ovulution symptons like lots of liquid flow from 10 to 15 day. but then why has doctor given me that tablet? and what other factor is inhibiting my chances of pregnancy?

doctor1 MD

dear friend ,yes of course its true that increased thyroid level and Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOD) affect egg formation in a woman and thus affect pregnancy . but as far as thyroid hormones are maintained within normal levels with thyroid drugs , pregnancy rates are not affected.ovelet a...

Hello.
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.
If your boyfriend did not penetrate, it is highly unlikely of you getting pregnant. You need not take any emergency contraceptive pills.

I am having some strange pains in my pelvic area. (I am female.) The pain is not consistent, I have gone months without it and then other times it happens several times a day. Most of the time it just feels like pressure in my perineum, as if something hard is poking me, but nothing ever is. Sometimes this pain upgrades to a sharp stab. It usually happens when sitting, but it can happen when standing too. I find it is worse than I am menstruating. I have been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. Does this have anything to do with that?

Hi, I am 26 days into a 42 day cycle. My husband and I are trying to conceive. I took Clomid days 2-7 of my period as I was prescribed. I had some tinge of blood on the toilet paper today it was just a little line about a half in inch to an inch long. I have been diagnosed with PCOS in the past. I am overweight (230) and I am 5 ft 7 1/2in tall. Could this tinge be because I am about to ovulate or is it implantation blood?

Questions about PCOS! A little backstory first... I was diagnosed with PCOS as 17 (Now 23) Got pregnant with my daughter at 19, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant again for over 2 years with one miscarriage a few months ago on dec 30. I have been on Metformin for about a year and a half and I m currently up to 2000mg. I got my first period on feb 13th and it was pretty normal. No period since. I started spotting very light on april 19th and just assumed I was getting a period. Nope! 2 full weeks of mostly brown spotting with a few drops of red. I ve been cramping and having breast tenderness on and off for about a month. Mood swings, fatigue, etc...I have an appt with my doc in a week (its damn near impossible to get an appt there if you arent pregnant!) And I came down with flu like symptoms this past weekend that only lasted a day, which happened both times before I found out I was expecting (crazy, I know) I m trying to stay away from the preg tests because every negative pushes the knife in deeper, but I took one today and no surprise it was negative. Any insight?
