What Does The Following Ultrasound Report Suggest?

Question: My previous question : and 1st Ultrasound did on 16th Aug,and last mensuration was on 28th XXXXXXX 2014.
As per Ultrasound (TVS) my wife is having a pregnancy of 4 weeks and 5 days and we gone through the test of HCG twice within 48 hours and its showing 2608 and after 48 hours its showing 2777 and PROGESTERONE, SERUM is 4.4. so the next suspect is whether baby is on tube but we did the ultrasound and as per report its normal.
Apart from this doctor suggested every alternative Sustan 200 (injunction) and Sustan 400 mg put in XXXXXXX (twice in a day)

This question is continuation of next last question about Pregnancy. Well today (05th September ) we went for Ultrasound and doctor reports said that "Single pulseless embryo 03mm in CRL : 6+0, Concl : Missed Abortion.

Need your inputs to understand more.

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Sorry for the loss. It means that the fetus has dies inside uterus.

The causes can be many but the most common is chromosomal anomaly ie the fetus had genetic defects already so it could not grow and died after trying for few weeks.

What i will suggest is to get it evacuated from the uterus and send it for karyotyping testing so that we can know the exact genetic defect.

Sometimes fever also causes missed abortion but not necessary.

does it mean that the next pregnency will be difficult ? and second question is after evacute how many months we should wait for to contact for next pregnency?

No the next pregnancy will not be difficult. But we need to find the cause ( by karyotyping, APLA and TORCH test) so that it does not happen again.

These tests are done in any good pathology lab.

You have to wait for 6 months before trying for next pregnancy.

Well i think the abortion can be done by two types a) by medicine or b) by DNC so now the test which you suggested can done anytime after abort or something specific during abort.

I will advise DNC as then only you can get fetal tissue samples for testing.

So just to update you that : Today we went for a doctor consultation and she recommeded with D&C and its up to us whether we want to go with kerotyping and TORCH because this is 1st time she pregnent .

I have an question that as she is having weight 114kg, height 5'5" with the age 25. So does this could be a reason.. This is doctor guess.
Anyway I said I would like to go ahead with the test .

Overweight and obesity DOES increase the chances of abortion , but that might not be the reason OR ONLY reason in her case.

YES, weight loss will definitely help in future successful pregnancies but that might or might not be the only factor.

SO i will advise you to get the tests to find out all the factors and treat each one of them so that her success is 100% in next pregnancy.
