Question: Dear sir

I went for a thyrocare medical test 2yrs back and learnt that my Anti TPO was high and it was 600+ i contacted a doctor who advised me to use Thyronorm. I used thyromorm for couple of months and discontinued but was taking ayurvedic immune supplement i.e Tulsi (Basil) based supplement and i tracked my bloodtesta for 6months from there it came down to 300 and due to various other diversions in the profession, i stopped tracking it and even taking the supplement. I got my test done 20days back and came to know that my Anti TPO is 800 now.

I am 36 yrs Male, non diabetic. I am attaching my report. Please sugegst.

Brief answer.....explained below
Detailed answer.....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Details provided by you suggest that you have persistently high levels of TPO antibodies along with a just above normal level of TSH.
This suggests that you are suffering from autoimmune thyroiditis with sub clinical hypothyroidism.
Since there is no particular medicine to cure high antibodies level and also the fact that this is a progressive disease, where your thyroid cells will keep on getting destroyed, you must be put on THYRONORM again.
You may start with a dose of 25 mcg.
Basically speaking giving thyroxine hormones is the only treatment for your condition.
High TPO levels won't cause any other problem except causing gradual destruction of thyroid cells.
Keep a regular track of your TSH levels.
You may even consult an endocrinologist for a proper management of your condition.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
