Posted on Mon, 8 Sep 2014
Question: I have had blood tests, Ct scans, MRI's all came back normal but I am still constantly tired, have pain in the back on my neck (rubbing in like a cold gel or nurofen helps) and suffer with constant light headness and occasional headache. my nurologist thought due to ct and mri normal vestibular migraine and put me on the topamax i am on 25mg twice a day but it has not made any different only made the trinedness worse i feel...the lightheadness and neck pain seem to get worse when i excerise and i am wondering if it could be something to do with my neck... I have a job that requires me to do over 8 hours a day in front of a computer I can not avoid this

Brief Answer:
Could be cervical spondylosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I will try to help you with your query.

I agree completely with you.
In fact the symptoms definitely sound like those related to cervical spondylosis.
And in view of the constant computer work (with associated neck bending), the diagnosis becomes even more probable.

Can you upload the reports of the tests you have done?

I would suggest to you an x ray of the cervical spine. An MRI of the cervical spine would be more appropriate and give better information. But is also more expensive.

I think if you do one of these tests, especially the MRI, the chances are high that some diagnosis may be arrived at.

I would also suggest a physiotherapy session for neck exercises.
This will give you a lot of relief.

A treatment course of pregabalin may help thereafter.
Also take plenty of fluids.

Best of luck

Brief Answer:
neck exercises

Detailed Answer:
You can just look up for neck exercises in google. But doing the wrong exercise can harm you. Thus I will suggest that you see a physiotherapist for it.
