What is Cervical spine?

It is the vertebral bone present in the neck region. It connects the head to trunk and inside which spinal column extends from brain to tail. There are seven cervical spines are there. Any injury spine and spinal column at this level leads to almost a total paralysis and all the four limbs will loose their function.

I have a pain in my neck, radiating from behind my ears and down the back of my neck. The symptoms are stiff neck with reduced ability to turn my head around. This condition is alleviated with OTC advil or Tylenol pain meds. This condition often comes on gradually and it happens often in the office, less frequently when I am working physically. ie. exercising, yardwork etc

Hello, my father has been working a lot lately.
He feel numb on his arms and legs.
He also feel discomfort about his neck.
I think it's because of the pain in his neck that cause the numbness in his arms and legs.
Does he have degenerative spine ?
Should he take acetaminophen to reduce the pain or should he go to the doctor immediately?

Yes, thanks. I have numbing/tingling in my thumb and fingers on my left hand and numbing on the left side of my face above and below the hips. I have no other smx. I did have a nasty fall 2 days ago where I fell on my lower back and got a huge discoloration on my back and a major bruise - 4-5" across ' on my left inner forearm.
