Brief Answer:
You should get an Ultrasound abdomen.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Infection is common in belly button. Inside the abdomen, belly button is sometimes connected to the urinary bladder by a long tract. If there is infection in the bladder, it spreads upto bellybutton causing discomfort, pain and local rise of temperature.
Ultrasound abdomen will give a clue.

Initially, I put my patients on Antibiotic like Cefuroxime tablet along with Anti inflammatory tablet which contains paracetamol too. For nausea, I add Rabeprazole with Domperidone combination.
If there is no response, I will proceed with Surgery.

In many patients, after opening the abdomen, I have seen pus pocket beneath the belly button which I removed.Recovery was very good.
Nothing to worry.

Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
