Hi,

I saw photos you uploaded. You have mild scaly erythematous patches and macules on the inner part of thighs.I can make out the probable diagnosis of candidiasis.

It is a fungal infection caused by Candida albicans. Perspiration,wetness,soap bath, poor immunity,poor hygiene,diseases like DM,HIV...etc can precipitate or exacerbate the disease.

You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis and perfect treatment. However I would recommend as below...

- antifungal like ketoconazole tab once a day for two weeks
- antihistaminics like levocetirizine 5 mg one at night
- application of antifungal cream like clotrimazole twice a day
- washing the area with antiseptic like dettol diluted in water
- improve hygiene
- improve immunity
- blood tests may be done to rule out internal diseases..DM,HIV,Anaemia..etc

Kindly avoid anxiety. The disease is not a serious condition. It might be cured with treatment suggested in previous post. But,please take treatment under dermatologist's observation.

DM means diabetes mellitus. It may be commonly associated with candidiasis. Raised blood sugar might precipitate or exacerbate the disease. Please have blood sugar test to rule out DM. If it is there,please have prompt treatment to control blood sugar.

Stress might lower immunity. Lower immunity precipitates candidal infection.So,Indirectly stress may be responsible for such condition. Please try to reduce stress at work.
