Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us.

I understand your concern, but I need some more information to help you further.

There are many possibilities with above mentioned symptoms.

Can you please upload your ultrasound scan or can you give me some more information about ovaries, uterus size and position?

Are you having any other symptoms like urinary frequency, irregular bowel habit, vomiting, fever?

Have you attained menopause?

With these details I will be able to give my opinion.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Postmenopausal for 4 yrs. ultrasound said normal shape and size of uterus but cystic areas showed up. Waiting for different sonogram with saline solution. Low back pain no bleeding. A simple cyst found on my ovary measuring 2 cm. that's all I know. Do not have a copy of scan. Recent bladder infection started all this

Brief Answer:
You need evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

After going through all the details, in my opinion

- Cyst in the ovary 2cm in size, is generally not a cause of concern at your age (in post menopausal), however to completely rule out ovarian cancer you may go for ovarian marker test.

- Bladder infection can be due to pressure effect caused by cystic area in uterus which might be the cause of pain in right side abdomen.

- Cystic area in uterus in postmenopausal age group needs further investigation as there are many possibilities, (polyp, endometriosis, uterine cancer) so I would suggest you hysteroscopy test along with biopsy to confirm the diagnosis.

Hope this is helpful to you, feel free to discuss more.
